Wish List

~ when target starts putting out their Christmas decoration, you know the holidays are nearing! i love the holidays. not only because of Christmas but mostly because collectively we take more time to spend with family and friends, sitting by toasty fires drinking apple cider and enjoying desserts a-plenty {guilt-free of course!}. my girlfriends and i, we don't really gift each other anymore and if we do, it is usually a DIY gift or something edible. however! that doesn't stop me from putting together a wish list of delights for whomever desires to buy me a gift to choose from. my wish lists...yes, plural, do tend to change as i get excited about something new however, i am attempting to not be such a pack-rat of prettiness so this is my attempt at keeping it controlled. attempt is the operative word, we'll see how that works out. check out below for links on where to buy {no, no, not for me-should you so be inclined though...i kid!-for you and your loved ones} 

1. Essie Jiggle Hi Jiggle Lo ~ a super fun molten gold because gold everything allthetime

2. Hourglass Mineral Veil ~ i've heard a lot about this makeup artist favorite. i don't use too many primers for myself but the buzz behind this has my interest peaked

3. Indigo Gold Cursive Monogram Mug ~ my mug-loving heart broke when Anthropologie sold out of their gold monogram mugs last year. and then i saw these! heart mended

4. Charlotte Olympia Kitty Velvet Flats ~ every cat lover and non-cat lover, loves these. i've dreamed about them since last year. will continue to dream until they're under the tree

 5. Anthropologie Champagne Bubble Highballs ~ they're golden bubbles that you drink golden bubbles out of. need i say more?

~ september always welomes us with fashion month. having worked backstage before, i can tell you that fashion week is delightfully chaotic. stressful always but a sense of relief, accomplishment and joy washes over you after every show. knowing that your key makeup artist or your team accomplished an incredible feat is an awesome feeling. while i'm not working backstage this year, i get to see my favorite designers and makeup teams via social media outlets and online blogs. a few shows that i always love are: alice & olivia, chanel, honor woman, marchesa, elie saab, alexander mcqueen. there are so many more that i can't even begin to name. make sure to follow us on our pinterest account to see all the collections we obsess over. we will no doubt share our absolutely favorite looks for S/S 2015 here so keep your eyes peeled~

creating the prettiest office

~ many of the blogs we read here at Sbd HQ {glitter guide, the everygirl, steph sterjovski, lauren conrad, to name a few} all post about creating an office space that makes you happy and allows you to be the creative self you envision. surrounding yourself with office decor that is just too pretty to handle only makes you want to work at your desk all day. i'm slowly putting together an office space that allows me to do my blogging and writing in an environment that strengthens my creativity. i'm obsessed with all things polka dot and thankfully for me {not so much for my wallet} kate spade sells polka dots galore. i'll share bits and pieces of my office space as i'm building it but i couldn't resist sharing this polka dot prettiness ~

~our blog is finally up and ready to go again...its been a summer of frustrations, our web designer, Souli, can attest. who knew we'd get hacked so badly that our blog would get shut down? live and learn. we're on a new platform with a bit of revamped design and we can't wait to share our love of everything pretty with you all again! a big thank you to you all for your constant support and patience during this quiet summer. looking forward to our favorite season {fall} and all the goodness it brings~
